Deer
Mule deer flourish throughout our hunting area with endless habitat and large populations; this is our most popular hunt.  It is not uncommon to see over 100 deer a day.  Average mule deer in this area will be in 140-150” range, though larger trophies are taken every year in the 150-180” range.  Success rates vary depending on what you are looking for.  We have 100% opportunity success in the 140 ” range, success declines for the individuals looking for the 170 ”+ trophies.  Whitetail numbers have seen a nice increase in recent years but are still somewhat limited, chances of taking a trophy whitetail are less than the mule deer but the opportunity still exists. This is a guaranteed license; applications must be in by March 15.

We are currently booking for the 2009 and 2010 hunting seasons. The deadline to have applications submitted for the upcoming deer season is March 15. To book a hunt with Dog Creek Outfitters we require an initial deposit of $500 to guarantee you a spot. We will then send you a receipt and a packet containing your license application and all the necessary forms for you to receive a license for the upcoming year. After you fill out all the necessary forms mail the packet back to us along with a check for the remainder of the 50% required deposit and you will receive a license in the mail within a few months. The remaining balance of your hunt is due by Oct. 1.
